I’ve fallen in and out of love with backpacks. I’ve owned several Louis Vuitton styles including this Montsouris. Palm Springs mini, pm and mm.
For everyday - it’s a no for me and my stage of life. I’m a business professional, I don’t commute by train, my kids are no longer young where we have playdates (although I seriously miss that stage), and I’m not the type to carry designer into a Bootcamp class or gym.
But, I am also an avid traveller. And for this reason, backpacks are a true vibe. Picture me hands free at the airport, front pocket safely stores my iPhone, passport and wallet. Or air pods, gum, lip balm, hand sanitizer and tissue. Main interior for my laptop, iPad and a scarf for the plane.

More deets | Medium even honey patina throughout. This bag, irrespective of its age has had incredibly favourable temperature conditions, you can tell by how well the leather is doing. No dryness, no cracks. Very very well cared for backpack. Vachetta bottom sides have water marks. One faint line mark on the leather flap closure (underneath) and one small round dot on one of the leather straps (last two photos) Interior is clean. One heavy offender for the Monstouris is a weak string. This one is very strong and will keep all of our belongings safely inside. Tighten away, all will be well.
